HopSkipDrive: Uber for kids makes parents happy.

HopSkipDrive (www.hopskipdrive.com) is a ride service for children and family members. It is designed to help working parents with multiple kids facing every day different schedules. Family calendar can be overwhelming: this service tries to make parents’ life a little bit easier.  It provides an alternative to school bus transportation and it is also an easy way to send your children to after school activities and play dates. It is very similar to Uber but tailored for your kids’ needs.

HopSkipDrive was founded in California in 2016 by three moms, Joanna McFarland, Janelle McGlothin, and Carolyn Jashari Becher. Any parent asks himself: how can I be in more than one place at the same time? HopSkipDrive is the answer. Its goal is to help parents to get their kids where they need to be at the right time.

Car drivers have at least 5 years of caregiving experience and they have gone through a rigorous 15-points certification process including fingerprints collection and background checks. The company only employs female drivers: they are moms, teachers, or nannies. HopSkipDrive is dedicated to users between 7 and 17 years of age.

Parents can schedule rides right from the app 8 to 24 hours in advance. HopSkipDrive team monitors every ride in real time and parents too can track the ride directly from their smartphones. Eventually, parents receive notifications throughout the ride up to the destination point. It is very safe and it’s a moms’ idea!

We decided to right an article on this innovative idea because we believe it is key nowadays to read any consumer’s need and provide him with solutions. In EDEMPG we do face exactly the same needs when working for our clients. We love to believe that, somehow, they are our… kids.
